Welcome to 2026, book lovers! We’re thrilled to kick off another year of reading, discussing, and celebrating great Christian fiction with you. This year brings some exciting changes to LiteraryScape, and we can’t wait to share what’s in store.

Our 2026 Reading List

Ready to read along with us? Here are the series and books we’ll be featuring this year:

Series Lineup

  • Hope of Cheyenne by Tracie Peterson
  • Minnesota Kingstons by Susan May Warren (new author for us!)
  • Pepper Basham’s Rom-Com Collection: Loyally, Luke, Some Like It Scott, and Positively, Penelope
  • Convenient Risk Series (finishing up) by Sara R.Turnquist
  • Lake City Heroes by Lynette Eason (new romantic suspense series!)
  • Texas Promise Series by Naomi Rawlings (another new author!)
  • Plus our traditional Christmas stories and wrap-ups

We’ll also be revisiting some favorites like Gossamer Falls (book three releases in March!), continuing the Lynn Shannon series, and catching up with Crystal Caudill’s new releases.

How We Chose This Year’s Books

This year, we expanded our horizons! After featuring backlist titles and new releases from past interview guests in 2025, we decided to bring in fresh voices. That’s why you’ll see several new-to-us authors on the list, including our first foray into Christian rom-com with Pepper Basham’s books.

We’re also maintaining our balance of historical romance and contemporary suspense while adding that lighter rom-com element for variety. Susan May Warren’s Minnesota Kingstons series brings a different flavor of suspense—think Knight and Day (the Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz movie) or James Bond style action with military backgrounds and romance, rather than straight murder mysteries.

Our Predictions

Tiffany’s Picks

  • Favorite series: Either Hope of Cheyenne by Tracie Peterson or Pepper Basham’s books
  • Favorite single book: Positively, Penelope (love that title!)

Jessica’s Prediction

  • Favorite: Pepper Basham’s books (both as a series and individual favorites)

Melissa’s Predictions

  • Favorite series: Torn between Hope of Cheyenne and Minnesota Kingstons (already loving Susan May Warren’s work!)
  • Favorite book: Loyally, Luke

Our Reading Goals

We’re committing to better tracking on Goodreads this year! Here are our goals:

  • Tiffany: 50 books (all the podcast books plus 10 more)
  • Host: 50 books
  • Jessica: 75 books (we’re setting the bar high for our library-working friend!)

What’s your reading goal for 2026? We’d love to hear it!

Looking Ahead

With milestone birthdays to celebrate (hello, 40s!), a busy first half of the year, and all these wonderful books to read, 2026 is shaping up to be our best year yet. We’ll be bringing back some of our classic challenges and fun activities during the warm months, so stay tuned for those announcements.

Thank you for being part of the LiteraryScape community. Whether you’re watching on video or listening to the podcast, reading along with us or just enjoying the discussions, we’re so grateful you’re here.

Here’s to 2026 and many great books ahead! 📚✨
