Podcast Notes:
In this episode Tiffanie, Jamie, and Melissa discuss Faith in Cripple Creek by Sara R. Turnquist. This is the third book in her Cripple Creek series.
This is the story Sara’s readers have been waiting for. Finally, we get to take the journey with Timothy as he finds his lady love. As much as we’ve loved all the other characters in Sara’s Cripple Creek series, we each held a special place for Timothy. I think it had a lot do with watching his heart shatter when Katherine married Wyatt.
Which brings me to a key element woven throughout this story, forgiveness. Sara overflows these pages with forgiveness. We all know that Timothy struggles with bestowing forgiveness to Wyatt and Katherine. When you meet Timothy’s lady love Jane, you’ll find her struggling with forgiving others from her past as well.
Sara brings such depth and reality to Timothy’s struggle with God and his faith, which was shattered when he lost Katherine to Wyatt. He wrestles with God for quite a while, but God gets his man in the end.
Readers cannot walk away from Timothy’s arduous journey without feeling renewed in their faith.
Mark 11:22-26: “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”
LiteraryScape gives Faith in Cripple Creek 3 out of 3 lassos! We are sure this Timothy’s love story will have you hooked and hog-tied from beginning to end.
