            Laura struggles to overcome the emotional trauma of being kidnapped abused by the gang Nate and Aaron used to run with. On top of that she is flooded with guilt for being the one who shattered Aaron’s femur when she accidently shot him.

She looked up to meet Nate’s eyes again as the pieces resettled into a clearer image. “I’ve chosen to forgive Aaron. I think it’s myself I’m struggling with.             Neither Nate or Laura feel they have a chance at finding love and a family. Each carry their own wounds from childhood, yet it’s their wounds that bring them together. Theirs is a sweet romance that arises from the ashes of their past.
